I had to put Flannery O’Connor away for a little bit before I was ready to pick her back up again. After a discussion led by an expert on her work, I have a greater appreciation for her now. Definitely helps to discuss O’Connor after reading her.
Agreed. And even when you do know how she uses violence in her stories, it still may be hard to read 2-3 of her stories back-to-back. She's a lot to take in at times!
